“Let me tell you how Maureen and hypnosis helped me quit smoking 5-11-06; but first a short history:
I was an avid smoker for 38 years having started at 13 ‘cuz “it was the cool thing to do”, knowing of course that I could quit anytime I wanted. WRONG!!! Cigarettes were only $0.35/pack then. Well as the years went by I would tell myself that I would quit at such and such a date and/or when the cost reaches so and so. Well that date\price would come and go and there I was, watching my money and health go up in smoke.
I never tried the patch or gum etc as I didn’t believe that replacing nicotine with nicotine was the way for me to quit. I also knew the biggest obstacles would be the behaviors I associated w/ smoking, such as: God forbid, I should answer the phone without 1st locating my cigarettes and lighter. Sitting down at my computer w/o cigarettes was not an option and the thought of driving even around the block w/o a cigarette was terrifying.
Well in April of this year I had had enough! $35/week for a carton ($1820/yr), the smell, health issues etc. just to mention a few finally got to me. So finally I turned to Maureen Pisani at Hypnosis Motivation Institute and her skill w/ hypnosis. Her people skills far surpass my expectations and Maureen took the time to really get to know me and worked out an individual program specifically for me.
And you say???: Hypnosis to quit smoking??? You betcha! It is the only way to go as far as I am concerned. I chose Maureen because she has this special air of contagious confidence I needed to help me get past the dreaded side effects such as nicotine cravings, weight gain etc. usually associated with smoking cessation. After the first session I didn’t even crave a cigarette! Then I had 2 reinforcement sessions one about a week after the first then the 2nd a few weeks after that. It has been 5 months and I haven’t even gained 1 lb. I am now an X-smoker and proud of it.”

It was really nice of you to step up at a moment’s notice, coming to visit at the hospital even late at night, re-arranging your work and family commitments just to provide the desperately needed therapy for my mom. Over the Christmas-New Year holidays, we were blind-sided by the devastating diagnosis of a large brain tumor in my mother that required immediate surgery. Like a skillful shaman, you came, allayed her fears, calmed her nerves, and taught her the imagery skills she could use to facilitate her healing.
Today, she is back at home and continues her rehabilitation after her brain surgery. The neurologists, cardiologists, pulmonologists and rehab MDs all predicted that it will take her up to 3-6 months to re-learn how to walk, go up the stairs, and be independent. Well, she proved every one of them wrong. One month after her surgery, my mother is zipping around the house with her Zimmer-frame walker. The wheelchair the hospital gave her sits underneath the stairs gathering dust. She goes up and down the stairs by herself, cautiously, with just the aid of a walking stick and holding on the banisters.
